| Obverse description | Bearded head of Dionysos facing right, crowned with an ivy wreath whose leaves and berries are rendered in moderate relief. The portrait displays the characteristic flowing hair and slightly idealized features associated with Hellenistic divine imagery. The broad flan shows traces of patination across the field, consistent with the hammered bronze fabric of Pontic civic coinage of this period. |

| Reverse description | A tall, upright thyrsos — the Dionysiac cult staff — depicted centrally on the flan, its shaft bound with a fillet and surmounted by a pine cone finial with flanking leaves rendered in relief. The Greek ethnic legend ΣΙΝΩΠΗΣ appears in the lower field, distributed to either side of the staff's base, identifying the issuing city of Sinope. The composition is characteristic of Pontic civic bronzes struck under Mithradates VI, exploiting Dionysiac symbolism to project royal religious ideology. |
