Obverse description Central field displays the Arabic word 'Ahad' (meaning 'One', a reference to Divine Unity) rendered twice in bold hammered script, arranged in two lines within a circular inner border decorated with a toothed or serrated pattern. The Hijri date 1189 appears prominently in the lower portion of the field, composed of large Arabic numerals. Small star ornaments are interspersed around the field between the inscriptions and the inner border. The entire design is enclosed within a serrated outer border following the irregular square klippe flan.
