Obverse description Central shield bearing the quartered arms of Burgundy, surmounted by a fleur-de-lis at the top of the field. The heraldic device is rendered in the compact, somewhat crude style typical of hammered billon coinage of the Burgundian Netherlands. A circular legend surrounds the central device, separated by pellets or stops. The overall composition is contained within a plain inner circle.
