Obverse description Relief view of the Porta Nigra, the famous Roman gate in Trier, depicted in the central field of the white porcelain medallion. The Meissen crossed-swords mark appears in an oval cartouche at the lower center. A gilt thread ring frames the design, with the manufacturer's legend running along the upper and lower periphery.
