Obverse description Epigraphic type with no figurative imagery. The field is divided horizontally by a single ruled line, with the Arabic legend disposed across two registers: the upper register bearing the sultan's name and title, the lower register carrying his patronymic. The inscription reads 'Sultan Suleiman ibn Selim Khan' in bold, angular thuluth-influenced script. The flan is irregular and slightly broader than thick, consistent with hammered Ottoman production, and the legends fill the field to the periphery with no inner border discernible.
Obverse script Arabic
Obverse lettering سلطان سليمان بن سليم خان
(Translation: Sultan Soliman ibn Selim Han : `[The] Sultan Suleiman [I], Son of Selim [I], Han.`)
