Obverse description Central design depicts a monument displaying a relief of the 1964 Kennedy half dollar in high relief, showing the left-facing bust of President Kennedy with the legend LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST. The monument is flanked to the right by INCO industrial smokestacks and to the left by two figures of visitors, set against a stylised landscape. The outer legend arcs around the periphery, with SUDBURY and CANADA separated by a maple leaf at the base, and four small initials (JG, GF, TS, BC) inscribed on the monument plinth.
