Obverse description The obverse displays the full coat of arms of the Province of Ontario in high relief, featuring a shield with a cross of St. George and three golden maple leaves, supported by a moose and a deer as heraldic supporters, and surmounted by a black bear on a wreath as crest. Below the shield appears the motto ribbon with the legend 'UT INCEPIT FIDELIS SIC PERMANET', with the curved legend 'PROVINCE OF ONTARIO' along the lower rim.
