Obverse description The medallion is struck in the form of a crown with a suspension loop at the top. Within a heart-shaped central field, conjoined busts of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra in left profile are depicted in high relief, both wearing crowns, with the King in military dress. The legend arching around the upper interior of the heart reads the coronation date, flanked by decorative laurel sprays; the surrounding crown-shaped border features beaded rims, radiating panels, and foliate ornaments.
