Reverse description A cushioned pedestal bearing the royal regalia — crown, orb, sword, and sceptre — with the names HOWE, ST. VINCENT, and DUNCAN inscribed on the face of the pedestal. Captured naval flags and a trophy of arms are depicted at the base. The circular legend records the Royal Thanksgiving service at St Paul's, and the date DEC . 19 . 1797 appears in the exergue, all within a beaded border.
