Reverse description A cushioned pedestal bears the royal regalia — crown, orb, sword, and sceptre — with captured enemy flags and a palm branch at the base. The pedestal is inscribed with the names HOWE, ST. VINCENT, and DUNCAN, commemorating the three naval victories. The surrounding legend reads ROYAL THANKSGIVING AT ST PAULS, with DEC . 19 . 1797 in the exergue, all within a beaded border. The engraver's signature MILTON appears on the base.
