Obverse description The obverse features a central raised medallion depicting the bust of King Sigismund II Augustus in right profile, crowned and robed, rendered in the style of a historical coin effigy and surrounded by a laurel wreath. The legend flanks the central medallion on both sides, with the dates 1545 and 1572 indicating his reign. The broad flat field around the central relief is plain and undecorated.
