Obverse description The field depicts an allegorical scene with the word PRUSSIA inscribed across the middle ground, above a detailed panoramic view of a city (Danzig/Gdańsk). In the upper portion, a Teutonic eagle is struck by a lance wielded by a griffin-like figure descending from radiant clouds beneath a divine tetragrammaton symbol, representing the liberation of Prussia from Teutonic tyranny. A circular Latin legend runs along the outer rim within a beaded border.

Reverse description The reverse bears an entirely epigraphic design with a twelve-line Latin commemorative inscription in relief across the flat field, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the liberation of Prussia from Teutonic rule under King John II Casimir. The text is arranged in evenly spaced lines of varying size, with the key words IOANNE CASIMIRO and MEMORIA rendered in larger letters, and the date AN. CIƆIƆCLIV (1654) at the bottom.
