Reverse description A sailing vessel navigating stylized waves, its mainsail decorated with the papal crossed keys surmounted by the papal tiara, and a Chi-Rho monogram at the top of the mast. The circular legend reads PEREGRINUS APOSTOLICUS IN TERRAM SANCTAM, with the date A.D. MCMLXIV in the lower field. Mint marks NI and .900 appear at lower left and lower right respectively.
