Obverse description The obverse features a detailed relief composition of Vilnius landmarks including Gediminas Tower at upper left, St. Anne's Church at upper centre, Vilnius Cathedral with its bell tower in the centre, and the Gate of Dawn at right. A decorative scroll in the lower right field bears the inscription 'MIESTAS ĮKURTAS 1323 METAIS' (city founded in 1323). The legend VILNIUS LIETUVOS SOSTINĖ curves along the lower rim.
