| Obverse description | The central field depicts the grand interior vestibule of the New Hermitage shown in deep perspective relief, flanked by ornate columns. To the left is a reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci's 'The Benois Madonna' (1478) and to the right Pablo Picasso's 'The Absinthe Drinker' (1901). Along the lower edge a curved Cyrillic legend is divided by an oval cartouche bearing the numeral '150', below which appears a small relief of the New Hermitage building facade. |
