Obverse description Central relief depicts the equestrian statue known as the Bronze Horseman, showing Peter I astride a rearing horse atop a large granite boulder, with the Latin dedication inscription on the pedestal reading PETRO PRIMO / CATHARINA SECONDA / MDCCLXXXII. In the matte background field, the Kunstkamera building appears to the left and the Peter and Paul Fortress with its distinctive spire to the right. The Cyrillic legend ПАМЯТНИК ПЕТРУ I curves along the upper rim.

Reverse description The central field displays the Coat of Arms of Saint Petersburg in high relief, depicting a shield with crossed anchors and a sceptre, surmounted by an imperial crown and flanked by two sceptres topped with double-headed eagles. The city name appears on a ribbon banner above, and the Saint Petersburg Mint mark (СПМД) is positioned to the lower right of the shield. A laser-matted panoramic silhouette of the city's most famous landmarks encircles the lower portion of the field.
