| Obverse description | Central relief depicts the equestrian statue known as the Bronze Horseman, showing Peter I astride a rearing horse atop a large granite boulder, with the Latin dedication inscription on the pedestal reading PETRO PRIMO / CATHARINA SECONDA / MDCCLXXXII. In the matte background field, the Kunstkamera building appears to the left and the Peter and Paul Fortress with its distinctive spire to the right. The Cyrillic legend ПАМЯТНИК ПЕТРУ I curves along the upper rim. |
