The Latin legend arcs around the upper field with dates 1592 and 1892 at either side.

Reverse description The arms of Trinity College Dublin displayed centrally on a shield, featuring two flaming towers, a harp, a lion, and a book with cross, set within a beaded border on a cross-hatched shamrock-patterned field. A Tudor rose appears to the left of the shield and a portcullis to the right. The circular Latin legend surrounds the whole design with the date MDCCCXCII at the base.
