Reverse description A circular wreath of oak and laurel branches frames the central field, which bears the date NOVEMBER 30TH 1855. Four heraldic shields are placed at the cardinal points of the wreath: the Sardinian cross at the top, the British royal arms at the left, an eagle device at the right, and a Turkish crescent and star at the bottom, referencing the Crimean War alliance. The commemorative legend curves around the outer border.
