Obverse description Two oval portrait medallions in high relief set side by side within an elaborate decorative frame: to the left, a bare-headed bust of Napoleon III facing right with the legend NAPOLEON, and to the right, a bare-headed bust of Queen Victoria facing left with the legend VICTORIA. Between the busts, a winged Victory figure stands atop an ornamental trophy, while below the portraits the conjoined arms of France and Great Britain appear. The maker's name ALLEN & MOORE BIRMINGHAM is inscribed along the lower rim.
