Reverse description Four heraldic shields arranged in a cruciform pattern, meeting at a central rose boss: the top shield bears the three lions of England surmounted by a crown, the left shield displays the Irish harp, the right shield shows the Scottish lion rampant, and the bottom shield again bears the three lions. The interstices between the shields are decorated with national floral emblems — rose, shamrock, and thistle — in high relief.
