Reverse description A central trident surmounted by a cross and orb divides six radiating ribboned banners naming British Empire territories, flanked by floral and foliage emblems of each dominion. The dates 1837 and 1887 appear on either side of the shaft, marking the fifty-year jubilee reign. A rectangular cartouche at the base bears the motto REJOICE IN UNITY within a beaded border.
