Obverse description A finely detailed interior perspective view of the choir of Ely Cathedral in high relief, set within a rectangular frame occupying most of the field. The scene depicts the vaulted Gothic ceiling, ornate choir stalls, and pointed arches receding toward the east window. The legend flanks the central scene vertically on both sides, with an additional inscription in the lower exergue.
