Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Constantine Henry Phipps, 1st Marquess of Normanby (2nd Earl of Mulgrave), in left-facing profile relief, with engraver's signature visible at the truncation. The surrounding legend reads PACIFICATOR HIBERNIAE with the date MDCCCXXXVII in Roman numerals. A suspension hole is pierced at the top of the medal.
