| Obverse description | Mature veiled bust of Queen Victoria facing left, wearing a crown adorned with laurel, with elaborate robes and jewellery in high relief. The legend VICTORIA arcs above and QUEEN AND EMPRESS curves along the lower rim, while TO COMMEMORATE THE 60TH YEAR and OF HER MAJESTY'S REIGN appear in the field to either side of the effigy. The engraver's signature F. BOWCHER. F is incised beneath the truncation. |
