| Obverse description | Veiled and crowned laureate bust of Queen Victoria facing left, wearing elaborate robes with orders and decorations, a drop earring visible. The numeral LX flanked by oak sprigs appears to the right of the effigy, referencing the sixty years of her reign. The circular Latin legend runs around the upper rim, with the commemorative inscription IN COMMEMORATIONEM ANNI REGNI in the left field and the Roman date MDCCCXCVII in the exergue. |
