Obverse description Crowned and veiled bust of Queen Victoria facing left, wearing elaborate robes and jewellery, with the engraver's name H. BOWCHER visible in small lettering below the truncation. The legend VICTORIA appears above along the rim, with commemorative inscription divided in the field to either side of the effigy, and QUEEN AND EMPRESS along the lower rim. A suspension hole is pierced at the top.
