Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Queen Victoria facing left, her hair elaborately dressed with a jewelled diadem and braided chignon. The circumferential legend reads around the entire border, with VICTORIA arching across the upper field. A suspension hole is pierced at the top rim.

Reverse description An allegorical coronation scene in high relief depicts Queen Victoria enthroned at centre, crowned and holding a sceptre, flanked by classical female figures representing Britannia, Justice with scales, and Abundance with a cornucopia; a lion reclines at her feet. The legend CORONATION arches above, with AT WESTMINSTER and the date in the lower exergue. A suspension hole is pierced at the top rim.
