Obverse description Conjoined left-facing busts in high relief: the youthful effigy of Queen Victoria as of 1837 overlapped by her veiled and crowned elderly effigy as of 1897. The surrounding legend reads QUEEN VICTORIA'S 60TH YEAR OF REIGN, with the dates 1837 and 1897 flanking star ornaments at the base, all within a beaded border. A suspension hole is pierced at the top.

Reverse description Central field depicts a detailed relief view of the Hobart Town Hall, with a flagpole rising above the roofline. DAVIES MAYOR below, separated by star ornaments, all within a beaded border. A suspension hole is pierced at the top.
