To the left, a helmeted Britannia kneels holding the infant princess, accompanied by a second armoured figure bearing a shield; to the right, a kneeling female figure with a harp represents Ireland, and a standing floral-crowned figure represents Scotland. A crown resting on a laurel wreath occupies the foreground exergue. The maker's signature DAVIS appears at the left border and FECIT at the right.
