Obverse description Truncated bust of Colonel Carl von Kopal in three-quarter left profile, depicted in military uniform adorned with decorations including a cross medal. The bust is surrounded by a circular legend and flanked by oak branch sprays; two oval cartouches reading ST. LUCIA and VICENZA appear at left and right. Above the inner circle, a small relief figure of a soldier is depicted at top center, and crossed arms appear at the bottom. Birth and death dates are inscribed in the field on either side of the portrait.
