Reverse description The left field features gold-spot colourised representations of both sides of a 1970 heptagonal threepence coin — the reverse showing the Tudor portcullis and the obverse showing the laureate effigy of Queen Elizabeth II — set against an engraved floral arch of roses and other blooms. The right field depicts a standing figure of Britannia in relief, holding a round shield and accompanied by a seated lion at her feet, with a colourised Union Jack on a flagpole filling the background behind her. The lower exergue bears the inscriptions '50 YEARS OF DECIMALISATION' and 'THREEPENCE'.
