Obverse description The obverse features a high-relief scene depicting Jacob reclining on his deathbed, his right arm raised in blessing, surrounded by a group of his twelve sons gathered closely around him. The deeply modeled composition draws from classical biblical illustration, with figures rendered in detailed period dress. A circular legend runs along the entire rim of the medal.
