Obverse description An allegorical standing female figure, representing the Dutch Maiden (personification of the Netherlands), cradles a newborn infant in her arms, set against a coastal dune landscape with flanking decorative columns topped with floral motifs and a rising sun in the background. At the base, a bundle of seven arrows bound by a ribbon is flanked by fasces, with hallmarks and silver marks visible in the lower exergue area.
