Obverse description A skeletal figure of Death, draped in flowing garments, stands in high relief over the sinking bow of the RMS Lusitania, its masts and rigging visible as the vessel plunges beneath the waves. The circular legend runs along the upper rim, with the engraver's name WEBERBACH inscribed at the base in the exergue.
