Reverse description The reverse displays three unit insignias in the central field: the MIS sphinx device within a shield at upper left, the 100th Infantry Battalion shield bearing a taro leaf and a traditional Hawaiian helmet at lower left, and the 442nd RCT hexagonal Torch of Liberty shoulder patch at right. The dates 1941 and 1946 appear in the upper right field. The legend MILITARY INTELLIGENCE SERVICE arcs along the upper rim, with 100th INF BN and 442nd RCT inscribed along the left and right rims respectively, and ACT OF CONGRESS / 2010 on a banner in the lower exergue.
