Reverse description Black-fielded reverse with a gilt Belgian lion emblem at the top center, flanked by two symmetrical oak leaf branches forming a wreath. The central field bears a bilingual inscription in Dutch and French commemorating the foundation of the University of Leuven by papal bull of Martin V on 9 December 1425. A small decorative motif appears at the bottom of the wreath.
