Reverse description The official Canada Centennial emblem — a six-pointed star composed of eleven equilateral triangles with a stippled ground — occupies the center of the field, with the dates 1867 and 1967 flanking its base. A wreath of maple leaves and branches frames the lower half of the field, and the designer's initials N.E.W. appear in small relief at the bottom. The legend arcs around the upper periphery.
