Obverse description Detailed relief depiction of the paddle steamer Bellevue facing left, with a smoking funnel, mast with flag, and passengers on deck, navigating choppy waters with a mountainous background. The ship's name BELLEVUE appears on the paddle box. The legend BELLEVUE, the date 1835, and THUNERSEE are inscribed in the lower field.
