Reverse description The reverse displays the state name IOWA prominently in the central field, flanked by two olive or laurel branches in high relief. At the top, a circular medallion depicts the Iowa Wild Rose (state flower) surrounded by a ring of stars and the legend IOWA and WILD ROSE. Below the state name, the inscriptions record Iowa's statehood date, and a scroll at the base bears the legend 29TH STATE. The Franklin Mint mark appears at the bottom of the field.
