Reverse description The reverse displays a central medallion in relief depicting the Cherokee Rose, Georgia's state flower, surrounded by a ring of stars and the inscription CHEROKEE ROSE. Below the medallion, the field bears the bold legend GEORGIA and two lines of text recording the state's admission to the Union. A wreath of laurel branches flanks the central design, tied at the base by a ribbon cartouche inscribed 4TH STATE. The Franklin Mint mintmark FM appears at the bottom.
