Reverse description The reverse displays a central legend COLORADO above ATTAINED STATEHOOD / AUGUST 1, 1876, flanked by two laurel branches in high relief. At the top, a circular medallion depicts the Rocky Mountain Columbine flower with the legend COLORADO / ROCKY MOUNTAIN COLUMBINE and stars surrounding it. At the base, a scroll cartouche bears the inscription 38TH STATE, with the Franklin Mint mark below, all within a beaded border.
