| Obverse description | A richly detailed allegorical composition celebrating agriculture, featuring a central blank cartouche flanked by a recumbent ox and flanked by agricultural implements including plows, rakes, sheaves of wheat, grapevines, a beehive, and farm tools in high relief. A ram's head and a sheep's head appear at either side of the cartouche, and a harrowing scene with further implements fills the lower exergue. The engraver's signature GOTTFRIED (C. TROTIN) appears in the lower field near the rim, with a beaded border encircling the entire design. |
