Obverse description Left-facing bust of Marianne, the allegorical figure of the French Republic, wearing a laurel wreath and flowing hair. The circular legend is divided into two parts: the upper arc reads RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE and the lower arc reads OFFERTE AU NOM DU CONSEIL GÉNÉRAL DE LA LOIRE, separated by small floral ornaments.

Reverse description A large wreath composed of vine leaves and bunches of grapes, oak leaves, and wheat ears frames the central field, with the heads of an ox, a ram, and a horse displayed at left, top, and right respectively. At the base of the wreath, an antique plow is depicted in relief. The central field bears an engraved recipient's name: CHAZAL / ST.GERMAIN.L. The circular legend around the border names the issuing society.
