Reverse description The reverse features two gold-colourised appliqué discs replicating both sides of the 1970 British sixpence — the obverse showing the young laureate effigy of Elizabeth II and the reverse displaying the floral emblems with 'SIX PENCE 1970'. To the right, a silver-relief figure of Britannia is seated facing right, holding a trident and resting on a Union Jack shield, with a sailing ship and a lighthouse visible in the background field. A large colourised Union Jack flag dominates the upper right of the composition. The legend '50 YEARS OF DECIMALISATION' and the word 'SIXPENCE' appear in the exergue.
