| Obverse description | Bimetallic medal with a copper-nickel center depicting the reverse design of the 1997 1-kopeck coin: the numeral '1' above the legend КОПЕЙКА flanked by ornamental foliate scrolls in relief. The brass outer ring bears the Cyrillic legend САНКТ-ПЕТЕРБУРГСКИЙ МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР around the upper arc, a hexagonal cartouche at the top with '280 ЛЕТ' in the field, and bilingual inscriptions in Cyrillic and Latin along the lower arc. |
