Obverse description The silver-toned copper-nickel center depicts the neoclassical facade of the Saint Petersburg Mint building in relief, with the inscription МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР visible on the structure. Above the building, the anniversary numeral '275' and the legend 'ЛЕТ' appear in the upper field, flanked by decorative scroll ornaments. The surrounding tombac ring bears the circumferential legend in Cyrillic with dot separators, the medal having a distinctive scalloped outer edge.

Reverse description The silver-toned copper-nickel center features a copper-toned bust of Emperor Peter I facing slightly left within a circular medallion, flanked by the founding and anniversary dates in the exergue. To either side of the bust, legends identify him as the founder of the mint. Surrounding the central insert in the tombac ring, representations of coins and medals struck at the mint across different historical periods are arranged in an arc above, while the lower portion of the ring displays a detailed aerial-view relief of the Peter and Paul Fortress.
