Reverse description The reverse bears a multi-line commemorative inscription in raised lettering filling the entire field, recording the laying of the foundation stone of the Newcastle-upon-Tyne Royal Victoria Infirmary on 20th June 1900 by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen. A small suspension loop is visible at the top.
