Obverse description A full-length figure seen from behind addresses a seated assembly of delegates, evoking the 1814 Eidsvoll Constituent Assembly. The date 1814 appears in relief in the upper right field, flanked by a paragraph symbol and a facsimile of a handwritten text with a monogram seal to the left. The engraver's initials RMI are visible in the lower right.

Reverse description The Norwegian lion rampant is depicted in high relief against a mirror-polished central field, flanked on either side by elaborate acanthus scroll ornaments in matte relief. Below the lion, the legend NORGE appears above the commemorative dates 1814 and 2014, with the crossed hammers mintmark of the Royal Norwegian Mint at the bottom center.
