Multiple lines of Cyrillic text arc across the upper field listing the significant dates of Emperor Alexander II's reign. The date 1861 flanks the peasant figure on either side, and a semicircular inscription below reads 19 ФЕВРАЛЯ. Along the lower rim runs the primary commemorative legend.
