Reverse description The upper portion of the reverse displays the heraldic shield of Pula — a cross on a quartered escutcheon — in relief, flanked by the bilingual city name PULA and POLA in incuse lettering. The lower half features a horizontal ribbed background against which is set a raised circular medallion depicting the laureate bust of Emperor Vespasian in right profile, reproducing the legend of an ancient Roman coin.
